Francine Lumiere is a member of the Children of the Island. In her old life, she used to be someone in the public eye. Living without much privacy, she longed to be able to go anywhere without being followed or do anything without being scrutinized.
As with nearly all new recruits, she had a dream of a person promising to let her live as a normal person. Although doubtful, she was convinced through multiple dreams, and she finally accepted her offer when she was brought to the island by Isabel Salvador, becoming transformed and gaining the ability to become invisible.
On the surface, Francine appears quiet and confident, but on the inside she is stressed and anxious. Living on the island is slowly undoing her high-strung personality, making her timid and sensitive nature clearer. Though she may not have the right words at times, she easily sympathizes with her comrades.
